About Enchawet

Enchawet means “let's play.”

Enchawet is a sports-field booking platform for Addis Ababa — but it's really about something bigger than booking a pitch. It exists to bring people together: to help anyone who wants to move, play, and stay active find others who share that same spark, and to make group exercise easy to organize and easy to join.

Why we built it

Staying active is far easier — and far more fun — when you do it with other people. Yet the hardest part is rarely the exercise itself; it's finding the field, finding the time, and finding the people to play with. Too often a game falls apart before it begins.

Enchawet removes that friction. In one place you can discover nearby fields, reserve a slot in seconds, form a team, and connect with players who enjoy the same sport you do. The goal is simple: fewer barriers between you and a game, and more chances to build real connections through shared activity.

At its heart, Enchawet is a tool for connection — built to gather people with similar interests who are ready to show up and play together.

Who built Enchawet

Enchawet was designed and developed by Tewodros Hailegeberel, created for the Addis Ababa community out of a belief that getting active should be social, accessible, and genuinely fun. It's an independent project built to help neighbours, friends, and soon-to-be-friends connect through the simple joy of playing sport.
